After 20 minutes stays, we straightaway drove to our next destination! My driving lesson is still smooth-sailing under hubby's guide! Hence, there are a few items I need to take into account:

a) Look into the interior mirror, signal out and checks the blind spot before changing lanes.
b) Apply no sound when pulling the brakes.
c) No single hand on the handle-bar - had used to be in Malaysia :(
d) Both hands not overtake!

Our First Car in Perth

This is our first car in Australia ~ a used Mazda 121!

Note: Car is rather cheap in Australia
. I remembered my ex-colleague bought a Hyundai Getz in Malaysia cost about RM65K, here only AUD13K (appro. RM39K). However, car exported from Malaysia is a bit expensive e.g. Pronton Gen at the price of AUD23K.

My Other Name

"Khew!"
" Ms. Sylvia, my name is Kheow actually"
"I'm sorry."
~@~

I was lucky I think. My name is See Ming LEE ("seemingly"). Here normally they're called by christian name ~ Jess, Stephanie, Kyle! And I realized that lots of my mates owned a Christian name as well. Why? A trend?

Of course NOT. Because they used to pronounce our name wrongly. Kinda headache with those ANG MO. (no offense)

Do you think I should get one too? Since my name is SM ~ Why not called it "SAM"? Hahah! Don't laugh. I might use this name in the future. ;) BUT at the moment, I still prefer ppl calling me ~ SEE MING.

~@~

How would you pronounce "IKEA"? Suppose it should be read as "I-kia" (I used to read as E-Kia)

What a small world!

The world is pretty small!
~@~@
Guess what? I met my aunt at Bank West. She didn't notice I was there! Of course, I tried to hide myself up. Phew....
~@~@
A month ago, I was walking side by side with her daughter (around the same area as well). She didn't bother/recognize who the HECK i'm. On Last Tuesday (07-07-09), I met my cousin sister again! Meeting her face-to-face. BUT she really didn't recognize who I'm!
~@~@
I guess they must be staying around Willetton!
~@~@
I really hope that next time I'll meeting them FIRST so that I have the time to RUN AWAY!
LOL

P/S: I think you must be happy to meet your friends or relatives on the street. Frankly speaking, I don't use to like meeting ppl after my doorstep. BUT situation always happen the way round! Definitely I'll be meeting ppl after stepping out....Cousins, Friends, Relatives, Colleague, Ex-Colleague. Therefore, I'm kinda speechless when I meet my relative in Perth.

Yin Hsiang, Ven, Lian, Sze Ming -> It's AN ARRANGEMENT! NO ESCAPE at all. So next time, you know what will happen if you're going out with me.

Gossip.Surprise.Fun

Still remember my previous blog about Sean and Michael? We're introduced to Sean through Michael He had been in Perth for almost 3 year already.

Last Sat, we visited Sean. His wife is really 出的厅堂入得厨房 type! Now she is a full time housewife. Note: My next blog will only reveal her identity. Let's continue with my story about Sean.....

5 of us (including hubby and I, Sean and his wife with Michael) were chatting while eating nachoes and tangerine . "UTC" he exclaimed when I asked him his parents' location.I am a little anxious and curious because I have friends and relatives were staying there, perhaps he might know one of them!

Q & A section still go on........

"AHHHHHH....." I shouted! GOD, it is really UNBELIEVABLE! They 竟然 are my grandparent's old neighbor. I admitted to him that we used to steal the HIBISCUS where they planted outside and like to play with the tadpoles in the drain in front of their house. (That's my childhood memories!)

I called my mum when we returned! One of our dojomates expressed to her that his nephew had migrated to Perth as well and guess who's the migrant? is SEAN (Mr.Chong is Sean's uncle). Surprise!

@~@~
My last word before signing off:-
a) Do not speak ill or condemn about others.
b) The world is so small! We are kinda tiny then......
c) Lot's of surprise awaiting!

Kekeke....
LOL

A 19-day stories...

First of all, I'm glad to have more than 100 blogs since the first blog in 2006. * Note: When i glanced through the archived blogs, I realized that "我的心情,我的故事" tells everything!

If those who are following my blogs, Ya, right! I am now in Perth. It had been 19 days already and I found myself.....slowly used to it [determined & forced to be] though still have a little homesick feeling. Tell you guys something, I even cried to sleep last week! [* Note: What a shame..shame..shame :<]

~~*~*~~
Perth has becoming a multicultural city [just like Malaysia] whereby I saw difference races aside Aussie- Lots of Chinese in Australia- from China especially and they are filthy rich! My landlord is a Chinese from China as well ;) He is now staying in his new-built house. And I am not sure whether he owned 3rd, 4th houses or not. Can you imagine that?

Still remembered my previous blog? Actually, I had my lunch at a Chinese restaurant before heading to Kings Park.

Do you know much that lunch cost? is AUD150++ (7 dishes for 5 adults & 5 kids) Expensive? For them, this is kinda cheap compared to having lunch at steak house. For me, still it was expensive! But the roasted duck is super delicious. ;) This is the 2nd time I had my meal in the Chinese restaurant. The first time was with Michael and hubby having dim sum......the dim sum and ho fun is lousy! In Australia, Ajimonoto seem to be "super cheap" because you need to drink plenty of water after meals. So, we rarely have lunch nor dinner outside- aside they are expensive!

Guess what, how much a Penang laksa cost? AUD10. We can have more than 20 bowls in SP already, right? I still prefer Malaysia cuisine and of course it's nicer! Big applause to that.

Signing off now.
Good-nite.
Sweet dreams.

~~*~*~~
P/S: Now the time is 9.30p.m and shops are closed~ And we are going to bed now.
Raining and cold outside ~ 12
°C
Winter is approaching! [June~ Aug]

Perth City

We visited Perth City today.

What is the scene that catches my eyes? There's a superb entertainer dancing at the boulevard. I'm inspired of his dancing, actually he is a hunk too. :o [What i wanna mention] He invited one of the spectators to dance with him. Still remember MJ of his well-know act? Guess what ! Imitation of Michael Jackson grabbing his d*ck and moon-walker shown-up today. Perfect!

My thu
mb up just for them ;)

Perth, WA (continues...)

Since I have no car in Australia yet, I have to travel by bus and tram.
Traveling by bus nor a tram is as easy as ABC (as long as you're familiar with the bus no) And It's inexpensive and convenient too.

In Singapore, they are using EzLink
to travel by MRT and buses.
While in Australia, they are using SmartRider and with this card, you can travel to any place as you like! Of course, there must be a sum of money debited to the card!

This is the Perth Station (an interchange heading to Fremantle or Armadale)
* Fremantle and Armadale is a suburb of WA

*~*~*~*~*
Since I am so free at this moment, I decided to visit one of the local U- University of Western Australia (UWA). Actually, I can't afford to tour the Uni in a day! But I did manage to visit UWA Business School however luck isn't on my side. The chancellor is engaged in a meeting . Therefore, I'll be meeting Getha on Friday.

This is Maltilda Bay. It is just across the road from UWA Business School.
Rambling along Maltilda Bay is a superb suggestion. :)

Perth, WA

This is my rented house in WA
Staying under one roof with hubby's friend- Micheal and his family
And red car belongs to Micheal.
What do you think of house in Australia?
Do you know how much you need to own a house like this?
is about AUD550,000.00!

P/S: I can't afford to own one at this moment :(

*~*~*

I visited a wholesales market at Canning Vale [one of the suburb in Perth] whereby they put it on sales in a bundle /bags and not in a piece! The veggies and fruits are rather cheap compared to the supermarket.

1 full bag of apples (around 50)- AUD20.00
1 box of oranges (around 20-30)- AUD20.00
1 box of cherries tomatoes (12 pacs) - AUD5.00

P/S: I still remembered the last visit to Perth and I bought 2 pacs of cherries tomatoes and guess how much? is AUD5.00/2pacs (almost fainted when i realized that 12 pacs cost only AUD5.00)
