My first and foremost online shopping!

I bought a shoulder bag through Cutie Code (http://www.cutiecode.com) ~It's a nylon bag and chocolate in color. In fact, I bought it because it's BIG!

I have been browsing through Google for bags and I found:

a) Braun Buffel (http://www.braunbuffel.com.au/) ~ I came across BB when I was in KL because a friend of mine were using the purse from BB. FYI, they are expensive! (所谓一分钱，一分货）

b) Cutie Code (http://www.cutiecode.com/ ~ The price is more reasonable and there are  much more choices (for bags). Besides, you can get apparel, shoes and accessories as well.

c) GAP and Esprit (http://www.gap.com/ and http://www.esprit.com/ ) ~ Definitely, I'll go for the apparels if it's available in Australia!

This was my first time ever purchase through Internet and getting an item without seeing it.  I just hope that it's the ONE as shown in the picture!

Friends, how's your day going on?

Never bother to talk about that! I'm taking all the long calls again ~  around 21 calls for 7.5hours (a bad sign). My team leader had approached me on how to improve my stats (AHT, AWT and etc) Kinda stress-up because my team members are really doing very well with their AHT (average handling time) and AWT (average wrapping time)  :(

Yesterday, she approached Jono (a guy sitting besides me) when will he be able to get an OPs (Opportunity Knock)? FYI, Opportunity Knock is sort like pre-sales through phone ~persuading (or begging----kekeke) the customer to re-contract, upgrade and/or changing plan! After the leads  (a form to filled with customer requirements) were submitted, Sales  team will get in touch with the customer for further clarification and explanation. The fun thing is if the customer is satisfied and decided to upgrade/ re-contract, we will be rewarded (in terms of vouchers,  cash (up to AUD500 ~ as I heard), gift rewards and/or VISA credit) Guess what? Such a coincident happening, I submitted one today (Jono too) Lucky  dude!

Hahah....LOL! Tell you guys something, I'm going to make BIG money on next Monday. WHY?

1st Mar 2010 is the Labour Day for WA ~ supposely is a public holiday! Since we're being requested to work on that day, we'll be getting 2.5 rate. How nice is it, right? $$$$$ MONEY $$$$$ MONEY $$$$$ MONEY

I bet there be a lot of fun by calling the customer rather than picking up the calls ~ It's a courtesy call regarding their Internet fault - explaining their issue are been escalated to the second level for further investigation and/or booking for an appointment o get the field to visit their premises to check out the root cause of the problem.

In a blink of eye...

Time flies...

I can't believe that I've been in Perth for 9 months already.....That's  life, right? This is my first year celebrating CNY in a western country and I do believe that there will be more to celebrate in Perth. :(

Ever since I started to work in Perth, my working life had actually taken most of my time because I'm not on a fixed schedule everyday- today I might be working on 6 in the morning; tomorrow I might be working on 11 in the morning! (That's the LIFE in call center)

Besides, I started to fall in love with this job! Though I knew that I' be getting more "HARD" calls in future, still I wanna take up this challenge... (好反贱!)

Yippee, we're going on a trip............

ALBANY, our next stop in conjunction with Good Friday and Easter Monday (falls in April). My hotel reservation is finally confirmed ~ paying for AUD89/night (Studio unit ensuite with a small kitchen). Feel free to visit the website Albany Holiday Units. FYI, Middleton Beach is just 200m from the hotel we've booked while Albany is a 6-hour drive from Perth. Therefore, we decided to drive there by taking turn.....

At first, we thought of booking for Bed and Breakfast By The Sea (AUD160/night) and yesterday I had actually filled in the booking form to get the hotel-booking confirmation. However, I received a call today saying that we need to stay there at least 3-nights on this special occasion.Too BAD...I had canceled that! Anyway, you could find more about the unit at Bed and Breakfast (B&B) By The Sea

Secondly, we thought of staying in a caravan park (AUD60). I wish to experience the life of staying overnight in a caravan (shown as above) nevertheless hubby thought that it wasn't a good idea ~ Anyway, caravan-booking on the days were not available though at last hubby agreed with me...Next time, perhaps! I was just wondering.....

Why these people tend to be so 自私? I really dislike those culprits!

Last week,  I had accidentally transferred a call to one of my colleagues (Supposedly this call should be transferred to the another division and unfortunately he picked up the calls). With no surprise at all, I have this new em@il -  "..........the calls ruined my stat!" (As I told you before, those calls we took were taken into account to determine our performance). Immediately, I replied him to apologize for the mistake. How should I knew that? Someone had actually reported the fault of the software we used to while transferring the call- I thought it was fixed!

In fact and undeniable (no prejudice), he is good at handling calls - because I saw heaps of compliment about him in the news-board and on that days itself, I received another mail regarding another new complimentary (to him as well) * Note: I guess, he must be worried that someone and/or anyone will actually ruined his AHT (Average Handling Time). That's why, I received such email.....

"Si pek suai!" (Luck was not on my side), I met him in pantry somemore. Of course, I took the opportunity to apologize to him AGAIN. Guess what did he reply? He just smile and say nothing. Apparently, I had my break finished at the quickest pace I could, leaving him alone! 

Really annoying seeing him sitting opposite me.  Is anyone who wish to swap my desk to? PLEASE.....

Tuesday - 18 Feb 2010

My first call took more than an hour but not been resolved ~ This customer A were staying in a village whereby there's no signal strength (even to the phone too) . In order to hook-up to the Internet, she need to have an external antenna installed. Before the phone came to me (notes to view); she had a conversation with a tech support and she was quoted a high gain antenna that cost about AUD810....She refused to pay for AUD810 and exclaimed that her neighbor spent only AUD300++ to get the antenna installed! So, i asked her what's the model of her neighbor's antenna, she can't named it for me. Fine, after-all, I found out that AUD810 (AUD290 for antenna and AUD510 for installation) ~ I told her that she could pay-up AUD290 for the antenna and get a professional to install ~ still she refused my solution. At last, I got Billing Department to get involved too (in conference) to waive the installation fees but they're not allow to dispute such as big amount ~ AGAIN, we're transferred to Satellite department for no reason and with no reason my call was being hung up......(or else I'll be 'traveling' around the world (playing TAI CHI with these people))

There was another call - B! She was not able to access to the Internet because no light on the modem. I got her to try out different USB port and other PC too, still it's not working! Since she had a contract with us; I'm able to do a replacement for her (approx. 5 days to reach the destination). She was not happy about that and started yelling with "F" words to me. At last, I made my decision to put her into queue and get some other techie to talk to her!

And the last call before leaving at 4.30~ Call from Gold Coast Billing Dept to Perth! He had a problem of connecting his ADSL; of course, I carried on with the test and result shown no sync. He then started to swear - "Bloody f**king idiot"...."Beggar (Baka)"...."Don't you people have brains? Unfortunately, X people have no brain" (X is the name of my company - sorry for not able to disclose)

Why all these people came to me? Tell me why! I wish I could punch on their face and kicked their ass. Guess what, a colleague of mine posted this on the facebook-"Those bitches really pissed me off...grow some manners!" (Something happen to her calls too...I guess)

初二 (second day of CNY)

Though today is the second day of CNY but I've started working from 9.45am ~ 5.45pm! However, I'm kinda free in the office because I'm doing Back of House(L2)- Escalate the fault to the Tester and/or Field; calling the customer to acknowledge the current situation and get them prepared!

Everyone must be happy celebrating CNY; but I'm NOT ~ sort of moody and down! Perhaps I'm not able to go back to Malaysia :(  Actually, there was an issue that bothered me too... (Apologize for not able to disclose it right here in my blog). When am I able to get FREE of myself from this?? 

Just wondering how's my families and friends celebrating their CNY? What are they having for lunch and dinner? Playing cards or 'mahjong'? Any special events? I called my mum and sis when I'm on the way to get my train- Guess what are they doing? They were sleeping.... Oh GOD! Maybe because without our presence, they're so bored. Pity them! 

I'm still thinking of the cheesecake and tiramisu I had yesterday ~ It was absolutely irresistible.

Our V 2010

Hana BBQ  is  having a great offer in conjunction with the 2010 Chinese New Year and Valentine's day. Therefore, we decided to make a try! The actual price is AUD40/person however we only pay for AUD30/person (drinks not included).

They served beef, chicken, pork, seafood (mussels, squid and prawns), dessert such as cheese cakes and ice-cream with authentic Korean food (kimchi ~ marinated cabbages) and others (not able to name them) Honestly speaking, I myself prefer Japanese food and have tried out different Japanese restaurant.  Hahaha, this was my first attempt visiting Korean restaurant ~ kinda satisfied with the service and food! According to the owner, Korean celebrates CNY too!

We were there for 1.5 hour (Note: My stomach is still bloated!)

Just wondering how are you doing at your work-place today? Me? Haha...

I have this Wireless broadband user (60), she exclaimed me she had this error "You need to log in as an Administrator to run the program" So, I directed her to log in as administrator to install the CD however still kept popping the same error. Guess what she did, she's using the wrong CD to install the software!  Finally, with my patience and guidance, she was able to hook up to the Internet- Before ending our conversation, she told me "Thank GOD for saving my day, I'm going to the hospital right now." I was shocked at the moment. Just hope that Dianne will be doing fine. :)


Today, I have another customer (61), Ross wanted to have his password changed. When I started to read it to him "XXXXXa" (he was able to get most of them except the last alphabet-a)Usually, we will pronounce it as "a for alpha" (Due to the echo and noisy in the phone) - I have repeated twice still he was not able to get it, So I just shouted aloud over the phone "A for APPLE" then..(he got it of course) However, guess what happen in the call centre, a lot of my colleagues were not engaged on the phone and all of them were looking at me (Laughing at me) MY GOD- I was so embarrassed....[Anyway, what can I do? He can't hear me at all!]

My next week schedule will be as follows:

Finally, I had my Mario installed on my Netbook!

First and foremost, I installed the "WineHQ" onto my Linux netbook( it's a Window emulator)

• Step 3: In Root Terminal, change to home directory
• Step 4: "sudo apt-get install wine"

I'm getting all the long calls today! We're suppose to achieve certain level in order to get rid of the "improvement plan"~ * Note:One of the ways to determine your capability of resolving the calls though phone! :(

Most of the calls are from senior citizen (around 60s) ~ They are not computer literate and you need to direct them step by step- a word after another! Of course, at last they still managed to connect to the Internet successfully. Frankly speaking, I really SALUTE to them... * Note: If I were they, I don't think I'm dare to touch!

Though those long calls might affect my AHT (Average Hold Time), I'm glad to help them throughout the process of installing their ADSL/Wireless broadband.  Guess what, Indhu(my colleagues), are getting calls who uttered dirty word from the beginning till end of the call ~ Note: I'm not sure I'm able to handle those call if I were her- I must be crying for help all the time!

In a nutshell, I rather go for LONG CALLS than those "F" words and "Bloody Hell" things

I'm started to get used to the call I received..Anyway, it's just a job! ;) Besides,as what Nic told me~ "Don't stress  yourself up!" Even to those irritating call, I've tried my very best to calm them down! Hahahh, I'm able to make it through another day- GOD, I'm truly HAPPY about it. ;)

 Next,I would like to share about the pay-system in Australia.  FYI, we're paid weekly or fortnightly (it's all depends on the company policy) Which would I prefer? For me, there is not much difference getting my wages monthly or weekly ~ as long as it's deposited!
